Autobiography of Joe LaFratta. His father was the head of one the largest Mafia illegal gambling rings on the East Coast and he was groomed to follow in his fathers footsteps.

He learned early on the Mafia was on the decline and adapted his criminal tactics to accomplish mind blowing illegal profits in ventures the Mafia never dreamed of.

This book gives insight into the new face of Organized Crime, and how it works hand in hand with corporate America, corrupt politicians, and so called "respectable citizens".

Get a look inside the real Boston Mob.

Dirty Money eBook Joe LaFratta

First of all I enjoyed learning of your story. However, I must tell you I felt really sorry for you throughout your story. It sounds like your father was a terrible example of what a good man should be. Several times in your book you do acknowledge this fact and you tend to hang your hat on it. Your Mother sounds like a tremendous example of a warm and loving Mother to her son. As I read your story I often wondered why you did not follow your Mothers lead. She was always their for you and worked hard to make an honest living for her family. Deep down you sound like a good guy Joe. I was pleased to read that you have found some real happiness at this point in your life. I have recommended your book to someone very close to me that grew up in the Alston/Brighton area of Boston living a very similar crazy life as a young man.
I was very fortunate to have been raised by my amazing Mother, she raised six of us kids all by herself. My father was NFG!!! I am 62 years old and I too have had my share of struggles along the way, mostly do to my short comings. If there is one thing my Mother taught all her kids it was a tremendous work ethic. This sustains us all to this very day.

All the best to you & your family Joe

Rest In Peace Joe. You were a different person and a gentleman, I’ll always remember you and you standing outside of you parked car “just in case “ 😂 may you always be remembered
As human beings, WE ALL DO THINGS that we're not proud of.. Thanks for all the honesty and heart you showed. A few jaw dropping pages, but nevertheless a mixed bag of emotions for you the author, and for us the readers....it may seem off putting for some to hear, but I am so so proud of the man you became when you left that life.. reading between the lines, you radiate love and kindness to those who are lucky enough to know and love you back..Thanks for sharing
I knew a lot about C. Rich before you wrote the book. So did the people of Georgetown, yet they kept him in public positions, which is astounding. What does that say? Your book filled in a lot of the pieces. Nice job. The golf course itself could have been a separate book. (no reflection on the current course owners). Nice job.
Enjoyed this book from beginning to end. Lawyers, prominent doctors knowingly getting involved with illegal activities! Be careful who you trust!!! Well written and easy to read. If you enjoy true crime, this is a must read.
An astonishing look at organized crime in Boston and the mindset of the criminal element. There are many grammatical and spelling errors that make you wonder about the publisher, but other than this, a good overview of true crime in our days.
interesting viewpoint. Not a "made" guy but from an close associate point of view
Wow! Such detail given to his story. It made me think about the mindset. So sad, that he finally made the decision to turn his life around and his life ends suddenly.

A great read; I enjoyed it immensely.
